Grateful for new visitors today

Today we had two new visitors to our little farm. Two very pretty ducks pictured above flew in to enjoy a bath in our dam.

We’ve never seen this type of duck before. We regularly have a little group of 5 or 7 plain wild ducks hanging out and pecking around the lawns.

These two didn’t stay long but brightened up our day with their beauty and unusual honking noises.

It’s been a tough few months with breast cancer treatment and a COVID positive test in the last week.

However, I feel lucky that I am spending time everyday surrounded by blue skies, green trees, and the birds, ducks, and our band of sheep.

Today I’m grateful for our two new visitors.

I’m grateful every day that I get to spend time here surrounded by nature.

There are many other wonderful things that I’m always grateful for. My supportive partner, family and friends that check in regularly, good food, a warm bed, and a roof over our head with nature always outside our doorstep.

Life is good …
