Truth is, we really cannot do life alone. We always need people to cheer us on, show us the way, help out, and nudge us back to victory when we fail.

I am glad to be surrounded by a formidable team of selfless humans who would never let me face any storm alone. Some of them existing for a short but worthwhile time.

I had a phase where I earned a trifle and my transportation costs ate up half my meager pay. At this time, I had an elderly man who would always pay my fare at the busstop. He never made any demand until I had to leave the city to another state for my National Youth Service Program.

It’s been six years after and I hope to see him someday to thank him personally. He made a young and clueless school leaver look forward to a future.
