It pays off to lose.

A poem about giving everything up for a chance.

Everyone sees an opportunity.

Some try.

Many lose.

Only a select few win.

We all want to win.

We all want the glory of saying, “I did it.”

For those who try, we know we can lose.

We know that our future can change in an instant.

I am part of the few that has passed.

But I knew what was to happen if I didn’t.

This is what made me successful.

I was willing to lose, to have a chance at winning.
